What changed in v1.9

Master Strategy Playbook with live data embeds

The master playbook is now the authoritative content of the Living Playbook module, with live data pulled straight from the app.

  • Eight master sections transcribed with their table structure preserved and validated against flattening
  • Live embeds for Market Scoring, financial comparisons and the Install Partner pipeline, each with its own loading and failed-to-load state
  • Transcribed reference figures carry a confidence badge; anything below high confidence is a planning estimate
  • Section-by-section version diffs, plus a Super Admin–only export of the master PDF

Vendor catalog sourcing: Concord American & Eder Flag

Two 2026 dealer catalogs are loaded as structured cost data you can source from, not as loose PDFs.

  • 1,361 Concord American dealer-cost SKUs parsed with category-aware finishes and quantity breaks
  • Eder Flag mapped twice: vendor cost at 50% of list, and direct competitor retail pricing
  • SKU pickers in the RFQ and PO flow can select either vendor for multi-vendor redundancy routing
  • Low-confidence extractions wait in the catalog review queue, with a diff of reviewer corrections; rows flag stale 12 months after the 2026 effective date

Freedom and Glory rebrand & competitive pricing intelligence

Carrot-Top Industries is now Freedom and Glory (freedomandglory.com), tracked under the new name with the old history intact.

  • Hard-goods and soft-goods competitor rosters updated to Freedom and Glory; historical price records migrated and labelled
  • Competitive Pricing Intelligence is now its own top-level Command Center sidebar item
  • The shortcut out of the M&A Target Matrix has been removed — one route in, one place to look

Install Partner recruiting pipeline

Sourcing and vetting install partners is a tracked five-step sequence with a launch gate at the end.

  • License/insurance, closeout trial link, references, background check and certification, in order
  • Market launch is gated on a certified partner being in place for that market
  • The Install Partner Playbook attaches to the section with a Super Admin preview, version history with one-click restore and SHA-256 fingerprints
  • Every view and download is written to the access log, filterable and exportable to CSV

Documents & PDFs

Both documents are rendered from the app's current state and open with a clickable contents page. The build pipeline also writes a stamped copy of each one, linked below.

Roles & onboarding guides

  • Super Admin

Full access, including Business & Strategy, permissions and every admin setting. You approve price changes, role grants, capability flags and financial exceptions.

    61 tools available

  • Flags Unlimited Employee

The single staff seat: calls, quotes, RFQs, jobs, scheduling, field work and customer follow-up. It replaces the old Admin / Front Desk, Office and Field Tech seats. What you personally can do inside it is set by capability flags — can_see_cost (vendor cost and margin), can_see_payroll (timecards and pay), can_quote (send priced quotes) and dispatch_eligible (be scheduled to a job, still earned through certification, never granted by hand). Back-office queues such as invoices and payments open only with the back-office capability. Business & Strategy is not part of this seat.

    51 tools available

  • Finance

Invoicing, collections, payroll and vendor bills. You work the money side of jobs that operations has already closed out.

    14 tools available

  • Location Owner

Your own location, on a phone: today's jobs and service calls, your team, local inventory and restock requests, and the obligations your location owes. Everything is scoped to your home location — no other location's data is visible.

    4 tools available

Workflow steps by role

The same "your day, in order" list the onboarding guide prints for field_tech.

  1. Check your jobs and service calls for the day.
  2. Start mileage when you leave; it logs the leg for you.
  3. Photograph the site and log condition on arrival.
  4. Finish each job with a closeout before you drive away.

Known limitations & open items

Tracked and deliberately incomplete. These print at the end of every generated document too, so nobody reads a tool list as a promise.

  • AR Aging due-date scopeOpen

Aging buckets are calculated from the invoice date, not a per-customer due date or terms schedule. Invoices on net-30/net-60 terms therefore appear in an older bucket than they truly are. Treat the bucket as an ordering hint, not a legal past-due statement, until terms-aware due dates ship.

    Finance / AR Collections / Aging (/finance/ar)

  • Parent-account discount precedencePartial

Precedence logic (site / parent account / default) is implemented and unit-tested, but no parent accounts exist in production data yet, so it has never been exercised against a real hierarchy.

    Sales / Quotes, RFQ pricing

  • Shopify write scopesPartial

Catalog reads, draft orders and checkout QR codes are live. Price write-back from the Suggested Price Adjustment queue depends on write scopes that are not granted on the current token, so approvals may need to be applied manually.

Business & Strategy / Suggested Price Adjustments

  • External Outreach Lock is ONOpen

No customer- or vendor-facing email leaves the app while the lock is engaged. Quotes, vendor RFQs and AR reminders generate drafts only — someone still sends them by hand.

    Admin / Outreach Lock (/admin/outreach-lock)

  • Vendor catalog data is dated 2026Partial

Concord American dealer costs and the Eder Flag catalog are loaded from the 2026 editions and stamped with that effective date. Rows flag as stale 12 months out, and low-confidence extractions sit in the catalog review queue until a human confirms them — check the confidence badge before quoting off a parsed line.

Inventory & Vendors / Vendor Directory, Catalog Review Queue

  • Master Playbook figures carry confidence ratingsPartial

Playbook sections mix live data embeds with transcribed reference tables. Transcribed figures print a confidence badge; anything below high confidence is a planning estimate, not a committed number.

Command Center / Growth / Living Playbook

  • Location Owner portal is validated on Kentwood onlyPartial

The location_owner seat and the /my-location portal are exercised against 01 — Kentwood, the only location with real operating history. Other locations show "No actuals yet" until they have real data.
